DYFLEX® DMD

DyFlex® is a flexible insulator, formed by combining a non-woven fabric made of highly calendered short polyester fibres with a PET film. The non-woven material is laminated onto the film using appropriate adhesive substances, and the resulting laminate is then refined by soaking the non-woven material in synthetic resins. The result is a laminate with exceptional electrical insulation and mechanical properties.

‘DyFlex’ is available in saturated (SF and SDF models) and non-resin saturated (ISF and IDF models) variants. The non-resin-enriched variants are white in colour, while the resin-enriched ones are pink. DyFlex in other colours is available on request.

DyFlex laminates are used to insulate electric motors, transformers and electrical equipment in class F 155°C. In the case of electric motors or rotating machines in general, these laminates are used for slot and slot insulation gates as well as for phase separators on winding leads.

Information

DyFlex® laminates are supplied on 910 mm wide rolls and with a core/insert diameter of 76 mm. DyFlex in different widths can be supplied on request - its minimum width is 10 mm.

GThe overall thickness tolerance is +/- 15% for film laminates in thicknesses up to 190μ and +/- 10% for 250 and 350μ film laminates. The weight and yield tolerance is +/- 12% (IEC 626).

DyFlex® is a registered trademark of Coveme. Coveme is a UNI EN ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 14001 certified company.
